Food is not the solution
To my problems
I know
If I stopped to dip
Some food in cheese
It wouldn’t hurt though

Food is not the solution
To my problems
I know
If I stopped to dip
Some food in cheese
It wouldn’t hurt though

I’ve been sick,
Nursing my health,
But yesterday my son said
”TREAT YO SELF!”
We were ordering pizza
With pepperoni and cheese
And it was a long time
Since I ate something with grease
So I did it I treated
Me to a gluten free
Pepperoni and pineapple
And plenty of CHEESE
I don’t care what you think
About pineapple, I mean it
It’s my pizza, MINE
I won’t make you eat it
The mocking trigger
Of the scent of a Brie wheel
Ripe on the cheese board.

I like big cheese and I cannot lie
Those other foods I can deny
When you see ole cheese with its ooey-gooey self
And its round shape in your face, you get sprung
Wanna eat it up, then you notice your butt
is stuffed
deep in the jeans I’m wearin’
I’m stuck and I can’t stop swearin’
Oh baby, I want some swiss, ya
Or nacho-cheese-ya
My homegirls tried to warn me
But a skinny butt makes me so hungry!
Oh Rump-o’-cheese-curd
You say you want to get in my fridge?
Well please do, please do
‘Cause I ain’t no healthy foodie
I’ve seen ‘em judgin’
To hell with that grudgin’
It’s spread, shred
Got in goin’ like some Whole Food’s ched’
I’m tired of magazines
Sayin’ cheese just ain’t the thing
Take the sandwich lover and ask him that
Cheese gotta be on that stack!
So, Fellas! (Yeah!) Fellas! (Yeah!)
Has your tired wife got the butt? (Hell yeah!)
Tell ‘em to shake it (shake it!) shake it (shake it!)
Shake that healthy butt!
And bring the cheese back!

I have a block of Gouda cheese
which I dearly love,
But someone I love says
it smells like feet
and cheddar is enough.
My gouda sits all alone
and I don’t know what to do.
Meal after meal
it’s been pushed aside
and now my cheese is blue.

Cheese is to dinner like joy is to life
On a bad day, lay that joy on thick
Know those thing that bring you joy
And treat it like cheese on broccoli

My friend Whitney
On her Facebook page
Wrote about how
These are numbered days
Her witches brews coffee
With assorted sugar and cream
Was a lovely reminder
Today just for me
These are numbered days
And that is why
I carefully curate
The days of this life
It’s why I choose
Free moments over excess pay
Every time, no question
Because I value every day
It’s why I savor
Bits of cheese
And cheddar chips
And gummy bears in ice cream
It’s why I savor
Things other than snacks
Like funny videos
And afternoon naps
Like walks on the beach
And trips to see friends
Like hoodies and podcasts
And watching Spiderman
What do you savor
In these numbered days?
How do you enjoy them?
Let’s count the ways.

A is for Anster
And for Assiago
Acapella and Acorn
A is for Aggiano
And A is for American
On Grilled Cheese it’s soooo good
A for Aged Chelsea
Alta Badia & Applewood
A is for Anari
Ardrahan & For Ashley
A is for Appalachian
And for Aragon – You see –
“A” is for cheese

If you have clean water
Food
A roof
A fridge under that
Roof where
you keep the food
fresh
You are rich.
And I know it’s hard
Maybe even weird
To keep the wonder of it
Year after year
The wonder at
Being so fortunate
But sometimes,
maybe
Stop, remind
Take the time
To think – wow
Somehow I get to
Live right now
Maybe
You can do it
When you eat
cheese next
The next time you
Bite into the mozerella
On pizza
Or the queso
On chips
Or the sweet melted goodness
Of a grilled cheese
Maybe you’ll remember
how amazing it is
To have food
and a roof
And a fridge under
That roof
To keep the food
fresh.
The next time you eat cheese
Maybe you’ll stop to remember

I want to sail the world
Visit cities by the sea
Walk the streets, test the coffee
Taste every kind of cheese
Two problems though
One is I don’t have a boat
And two is if I had one
I couldn’t keep it afloat
