Sometimes healthy is slowing down
Is taking more naps
Is eating more snacks

But sometimes healthy is leaving town
Is taking risks
Is saying, “I quit”

Sometimes healthy is stepping out of the box
Is writing poems about cheese
Is playing in a pile of leaves

But sometimes it just is not
Sometimes it’s back inside with a quilt
Tea in hand, nursing guilt

Sometimes healthy is jumping on a plane
Is selling everything you own
Is adventure to the unknown

And sometimes healthy is staying
It’s reading that book for the tenth time
Because it goes great with fire and a glass of wine
